MISSISSIPPI BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION has ussued a BLUE ALERT for Stanley Self Jr.,
who is accused of shooting a Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper is on the run.
The trooper was shot in the arm at about 7 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 61 in Bolivar County. Officials with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said the trooper’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Self was last seen is in the area of Isaac Street and South Street in Mound Bayou wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants. He weighs 165 pounds, is 5 feet and 9 inches tall and has brown eyes and black hair. Anyone who sees Self is asked to call 911.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
