At approximately 10:30 pm Monday, August 10th, Yazoo County E911 received a call of a shooting Delta Circle in Yazoo City. On arrival of Pafford EMS a 44 year old male was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was rapidly transported by ambulance to a landing zone in Yazoo City meeting Aircare Medical Air Transport. The patient was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center In Jackson.
The trauma team at UMMC treated the patient but he succumbed to his injuries at 3:56 am on Tuesday, September 11th.
The Decedent has been identified by Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers as 44 year old Stanley Dewayne Washington of Yazoo City.
The shooting is being investigated by the Yazoo City Police Department.
