BELZONI, Miss. — November 3, 2026 — Unofficial results from Tuesday’s general election are in for Humphreys County, with election-night returns reported for all races on the county’s ballot.
WELZ’s Jose Watson reported live from the Humphreys County courthouse Tuesday evening as election officials received and tabulated returns.
According to a report from the Belzoni Banner, 37 affidavit ballots remained outstanding at the time the election-night results were released. The totals remain unofficial pending the review of outstanding ballots and certification.
U.S. Senate
In Humphreys County, Scott Colom received 2,640 votes, leading the county’s reported returns.
U.S. House of Representatives — District 2
Incumbent Congressman Bennie G. Thompson received 2,613 votes in Humphreys County.
Judicial Elections
In the Court of Appeals race for District 2, Position 1, Deborah A. McDonald received 2,322 votes.
In the Chancery Court Judge, District 9, Place 1 contest, Bennie L. Richard received 2,330 votes.
In the Circuit Court Judge, District 22 race, Tim Howard received 2,204 votes, while Akillie Malone Oliver received 1,004 votes.
Howard led Oliver by 1,200 votes in the county’s unofficial returns. The figures represent Humphreys County’s portion of the districtwide contest.
Results Remain Unofficial
The reported election-night totals do not include the 37 outstanding affidavit ballots identified by the Belzoni Banner. Those ballots are subject to review before any eligible votes are added to the totals.
All results remain unofficial until the appropriate election authorities complete their canvass and certification.
