Charlotte Ruth Anthony Tinnin
November 9, 1948-May 2, 2022
Charlotte was born on November 9, 1948, to Milton Anthony and Mae Cobb Anthony. She is preceded in death by her parents Milton and Mae Anthony, first husband Jerry McLendon and second husband Ramey Tinnin, and brother Howard Anthony.
Charlotte is survived by her sons Jerry Wayne McLendon (Joy) of Silver City and Robert McLendon (Kacey) of Belzoni and stepdaughter Brenda Tinnin of Madison. Grandchildren Bailee Bellipanni (Joel) and Addie Howard (Colby) and great-grandchildren Hayes Howard, Caroline Howard, and Grady Bellipanni all of Silver City.
Charlotte and Ramey owned Belzoni Motors “The Ford Place” for 25 years. Her and Ramey shared a love of travel, and some of their favorite times were taking trips to Disney World. She loved hosting a party at “The Barn” or “Third Base” where the “No Name Band” would be playing. She was also one of the best bleacher umpires at a baseball game you’d ever meet.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 and the service immediately following at 2:00. Brother Richard Wiman will be officiating. Music will be provided by Dorothy Wiman and Tami Hawkins. A private family burial will be held at Mathena Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Phillip Holdeman, Greg Guidry, Jeff Hughes, Bo Jones, Colby Howard, and Joel Bellipanni.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials be made to Humphreys Academy, Po Box 179, Belzoni MS 39038.
