Bentonia Fire/Rescue personnel were called out to a two car motor vehicle accident on Thursday Morning (9-20-2018) at the intersection of Highway 433 and Highway 49 in Bentonia. Three people were injured and transported by Pafford EMS to the hospital. Around 10:48 AM emergency personnel were called out to the scene. When they arrived they found an off duty paramedic from Pafford EMS on scene rendering aid to the crash victims. Fire fighters assisted and stood by until ambulances arrived and the patients were transferred to the hospital. It appears a van was traveling Westbound on Highway 433 across the Southbound lane of Highway 49 when it was hit in the passenger side by a car. The official cause of the accident is being investigated by the Bentonia Police Department. There were no fatalities reported in this incident.
Also responding to the call were units from the Yazoo County Sheriff Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
