The Yazoo County Office of Mississippi State University Extension and the Yazoo County Fair Board are sponsoring the 2019 Largest Pumpkin Contest to see who can grow the largest pumpkin. RULES ARE SIMPLE: Drop off pumpkin with vine attached at the fair on Friday, October 11th between 8 am and 4 pm. Pumpkins will be judged and winners announced on the following Monday. Let’s make this a friendly competition. Your seeds should be planted NOW, THE 1ST OF JULY. All types of pumpkins are accepted. WHO WILL HAVE BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR THE WHOLE YEAR????????????
