Sunday Morning Accident Claims Life in Yazoo County

At 6:50 A.M. Sunday, January 5, 2020 Yazoo County 911 received a call reporting an automobile accident with a deer.  Responding deputy checked Highway 49 South from Yazoo City to the Big Black River not finding a vehicle.  Shortly thereafter 911 received another call from a Yazoo County Fireman reporting that the earlier call reporting a deer being struck was incorrect that he had located a body on the edge of the roadway.  Deputies then responded again where the body of a female was laying.  Ricky Shivers, Yazoo County Coroner and Deputies identified the deceased as 39 year old Shea Parker of Yazoo City.  The investigation is being conducted by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol.
