Dotty Jo Cauley Worley, 62, of Indianola, passed away peacefully on

November 4, 2023, at her home.  Jo was born on August 15, 1961,

to John Wesley and Viola Harris Cauley. She married Robert Gil Worley

and together, they made their home in Indianola. She worked at

Young Ideas in Indianola for many years. Jo was a devoted wife

and mother. She always supported her children and never allowed them to give less than 100 % of

themselves at whatever they were doing. Jo made sure she was at every event they had no matter

where it was. She was very family-oriented and enjoyed every moment with her family.

JoJo, as she was affectionately known by her friends and family, learned a new level of love when it

came to her grandchildren. She had the same devotion to them, always being there for them no matter

what. Jo had strong opinions and was quick to give someone her raw honest opinion about things,

which is what a lot of people valued from her. She left a great impact on those around her and pushed

them to be the best they could be. She was a faithful Christian and spent time doing Bible study every day.

JoJo was instrumental in leading her grandson Caiden to Christ.

She was a member of Grace Community  Church in Indianola.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Cauley  and her sister, Cindy Hawkins.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Gil Worley, of Indianola; her son Robert Gil Worley II,

also of Indianola; her daughter, Maegan McDavitt (Watson), of Gluckstadt;

her sister, Ann Tharp, of New Albany; three grandchildren, Emma Belton, Caiden Worley, Archer McDavitt,

and a fourth grandchild, Theo McDavitt on the way.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Burton Funeral Home

in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Matthew Morgan officiating. Burial will

follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with

arrangements.
