Mrs. White has been a teacher at Yazoo County School District for 10 years. She has taught 7th and 8th Grade English Language Arts at Yazoo County Middle School and English II, College Essentials Literacy, and U.S. History at Yazoo County High School. She was named Teacher of the Year at YCMS in 2016, and she is humbled to be named Teacher of the Year at YCHS this year. Her favorite part of working in Yazoo County Schools has been building relationships with her students and their families. Her hope has always been that her students would leave her class not only feeling knowledgeable but also feeling confident and valued. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a B. A. in English and received her M. Ed. in Reading Literacy from Belhaven University. Mrs. White has been married to her husband, Dr. Daniel White, for 12 years, and they have two fur babies who keep them quite busy.
