According to Yazoo County Coroner, Ricky Shivers, at 7:21 pm Monday night, March 11, 2019 Yazoo County E911 received a call in refernece to a shooting that had occurred on East Jefferson Streei in Yazoo City. On arrival of Police officers and a deputy, 54 year old Clarence Shehy of Benton, MS was found deceased in the back yard of a residence. Coroner Shivers stated that the decedent sucumbed to multiple gun shot wounds. His body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Pearl, MS for an autopsy. The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Yazoo City Police Department.
