Hollandale Native Selected for U.S. Navy Command Afloat

Lt. Cmdr. Desmond Walker, a Simmons High School for Mathematics and Science graduate and Hollandale, Mississippi, native, was selected by a board of U.S. Navy Admirals and Captains for the Surface Warfare Officer career milestone of Commander Command Afloat. He will have a future assignment to command a US Navy ship. An assignment to command places an individual in the highest position of authority and accountability
