- TEMPERATURE…Afternoon highs will climb into the mid 90s with heat indices
between 105 and 110 degrees.
- IMPACTS…Heat exhaustion and heat stroke will be more likely if individuals and
pets are not adequately cooled and hydrated.
- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Heat Advisory means the
combination of hot temperatures and high humidity may lead to heat related illness.
Take extra precautions, if you work or spend time outside. Wear light and loosed fitted
clothing, drink plenty of fluids, take frequent breaks or stay in an air- conditioned space,
stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Know the signs and
symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat stroke is an emergency, call 9 1 1.
