In his news conference today, Gov. Reeves issued a statewide mask mandate and issued an executive order delaying the start of some 7th – 12th grade schools in hot spots. The state is also requiring masks in schools for teachers and students. Masks are also required in public gatherings statewide for two weeks in a push to allow schools to safely reopen. The eight counties that public schools will be delayed include Bolivar, Coahoma, Forest, George, Hinds, Panola, Sunflower, and Washington counties.
