Sidney Dale “Nemo” Burrough
Sidney, 22, was born on April 11, 2001 and left his earthly home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, January 14, 2024. A life cut way too short but lived to the fullest.
Sidney had a love for life and a love for the outdoors, whether it be working, fishing, hunting or playing ball. He was just a redneck with the biggest smile who never met a stranger.
He was a member of FBC of Yazoo and worked at Planters Supply in Bentonia. He was a student at the University of Southern Mississippi where his dream was to be a high school baseball coach.
To know Sidney was to love him. He had an infectious smile and pure kindness about him. He, quite literally, left a trail of that love and kindness around the globe. He was passionate about God, serving, and being surrounded by his family and countless friends. His generosity was endless.
Sidney was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather Sidney White of Yazoo City and paternal uncle, Shelton Burrough of Bentonia, MS. He is survived by his mother, Heather Burrough of Yazoo City, father Keith (Sheila) Burrough of Brandon, MS, sister Haley Pettis of Bentonia, MS, maternal grandmother Linda “Sue” White of Yazoo City, paternal grandparents Kerry and JoAnn Burrough of Bentonia, MS, and his girlfriend Anna Hoben of Vicksburg, MS.
Visitation will be @ Stricklin-King Funeral home on Sunday January from 4-6 pm.
Memorial service will be Monday 1-22-24 at 1PM at First Baptist Church in Yazoo City with Rev Aaron Sibley officiating. Graveside service will follow at Benton Baptist Church
