Saturday night, September 7, 2019 at 6:39 pm, Yazoo County 911 received several calls reporting a Mobile home fire at 872 West Madison Street in Yazoo City. On arrival of units of the Yazoo City Fire Department the Mobile Home was fully engulfed. After getting the fire under control, firefighters discovered a body. According to Yazoo County Coroner, Ricky Shivers, the decedent was identified as 65 year old Fred Ketchson, Jr. The origin of the fire is currently being investigated by the Yazoo City Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall’s office.
