Drowning on Wolf Lake Sunday Afternoon claimed the life of Bunny Albert Fields of Yazoo City according to Yazoo County Coroner, Ricky Shivers.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON (07/22/2018) AT 3:05PM YAZOO COUNTY DISTRICT 3 VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENT, YAZOO COUNTY SHERIFF?S DEPARTMENT, HUMPHREY?S COUNTY SHERIDD?S
DEPARTMENT, YAZOO COUNTY DIVE TEAM, PAFFORD EMS, AND MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF
WILDLIFE FISHERIES AND PARKS WERE NOTIFIED OF A MAN IN THE WATER ON WOLF LAKE IN
THE GOOD HOPE COMMUNITY WHICH IS ON THE YAZOO – HUMPHREYS COUNTY LINE.
ON ARRIVAL OF FIRST RESPONDERS THEY WERE ADVISED THAT 2 PEOPLE WERE IN A 12 FOOT
ALUMINUM FISHING BOAT WHEN A PLEASURE BOAT THAT WAS PASSING CAUSED A WAKE
THAT CAUSED THE FISHING BOAT TO CAPSIZE. ONE OCUUPANT OF THE BOAT WAS ABLE TO
MAKE IT TO THE SHORE. THE OTHER IDENTIFIED BY RICKY SHIVERS YAZOO COUNTY
CORONER AS BUNNY ALBERT FIELDS, 79, OF YAZOO CITY UNABLE TO SWIM, DROWNED..
NEITHER OCCUPANT OF THE FISHING BOAT WERE WEARING FLOTATION DEVISES.
THE YAZOO COUNTY DIVE TEAM DEPLOYED THEIR RESCUE BOAT AND WITH THE USE OF
SONAR LOCATED THE BODY. DIVERS THEN ENTERED THE WATER AND AFTER SEVERAL
MINUTES RECOVERED THE DECEDENT.
THE INCIDENT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
FISHERIES AND PARKS.
