The Benton Academy Lady Raiders defeated Porter’s Chapel Tuesday Night in the First Round of the MAIS District 4AA Basketball Tournament. The #4 seed Lady Raiders will advance to the Semi-final round where they will face #1 seed Manchester Academy Thursday 6:30 pm at Benton Academy. Manchester had a first round bye.
The #4 seed Benton Academy boys team scored 81 points against Porter’s Chapel for a first round win Tuesday night.The Raiders advance to the semi-finals and will face #1 seed Greenville Christian Thursday 7:45 pm at Benton Academy.
Also playing Thursday will the #2 seed Greenville Christian Girls vs #3 seed St. Joseph at 4:00 pm and #2 seed St. Joseph boys vs #3 seed Manchester Academy at 5:15 pm.
