
Be Weather Aware this weekend! Severe thunderstorms are expected across the region late Saturday into early Sunday morning. The greatest potential will generally be along and west of I-55. Tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail will all be possible. Multiple rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall Saturday into Sunday will bring the potential for flash flooding across much of the region. 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected in the west with 1 to 2 inches in the east. Locally higher amounts will be possible. Windy conditions are expected to develop Saturday afternoon across much of the area in advance of a strong low pressure system and last through Saturday evening. Breezy conditions are expected in the southeast. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be primarily located over southeast sections near a stalling cold front. Highs will mainly be in the 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across the area tonight as a warm front moves north. Some storms over northwest sections may become strong after midnight. Lows will be in the 60s. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible through the day Saturday. Large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes will all be possible. Highs will range from the mid 70s to lower 80s
